Do you want to earn some extra money from the comfort of your couch? I bet you get a lot of offers like this while searching the net. There are too many of these offers, so they can’t all be true, but some of them are legit. Paid survey sites offer incentives or small rewards for taking surveys. OneOpinion is a paid survey site and they promise you can earn some money with little or no effort.

In this review, I will show you what do they do and are they delivering on their promises. While there are a lot of scams out there, many survey sites will pay you for your time. However, it is not the only thing that matters. Avoiding scams will narrow down your selection, but many legit sites will waste your time.

Let’s face it, no one will earn serious money on survey sites. Still, if you like taking surveys you can pocket a few extra bucks while having fun. In the end, it all comes down to your experience at the website. If you have fun and get your rewards as promised it is a good way to make some extra cash. But, if it gets frustrating it is just not worth it. So, let’s see what kind of experience OneOpinion offers.

Is It Legit

OneOpinion is owned and operated by Critical Mix, a leading provider of online survey and digital data. Critical Mix is a part of Reimagine Holdings Group which is recently acquired by Dynata a global leader in first-party data and data services. I admit it sounds complicated, but this is actually good news. All these parent companies are reputable. And the bigger ones tend to buy smaller ones in order to further improve their business.

So, it is safe to conclude that OneOpinion is legit with strong companies behind it. Al the best-paid survey sites have large parent companies so it is a good first sign. At least you don’t have to worry about legitimacy. The only question is are they good and does their offer meet your expectations.

How OneOpinion Works

Registration on OneOpinion is free, of course, and simple. After filling in the basic information you need to answer a short questionnaire. This allows the site to make your profile and match you with adequate surveys. In no time, you will be able to take your first survey.

You will receive email invitations for surveys that you have a good chance to qualify for. Before each survey, you will have to answer a couple of qualifying questions. If you don’t get screened out you can start the real survey. Screening out can be very frustrating, especially if it happens too often. However, most users report that the qualifying rate is pretty high compared to other survey sites.

This is another good sign as it shows that they do a good job matching you with suitable surveys. Some of the sites do it randomly, so you get screened out almost all the time. Still, this depends on your demographics as well.

Besides email invitations, you can search for more surveys on the site. Actually, you are encouraged to do so.

There are additional mobile surveys. A smartphone app will allow you to take these extra surveys.

Reward System

OneOpinion has a point system. For every survey you take, you will receive points. The number of points depends on the length of the survey. Also, it depends on the company that ordered a survey in the first place. Anyway, you can get between 250 and 5,000 points per survey. Usually, I don’t like point systems as they can be complicated and hard to decipher. However, with the OnePoint it is simple. $1 equals 1,000 points. When you don’t qualify for the survey you will still get 50 points. You will receive your points immediately after you finish the survey.

The OneOpinion site also rewards loyal members with the opportunity to test new products. If you are lucky, you will have an opportunity to test the products that are not on the market yet.

How to Redeem Your Rewards

You can claim your rewards in three ways on OneOpinion. Redeeming via PayPal is the most common option for cash. You can choose Amazon gift cards as well. Virtual Visa Debit Card is yet another way to receive your reward. However, you need to collect 25,000 points to request a payout. It is a high threshold and if your demographics are not in demand, it may take some time to reach the threshold.

Positives

Surveys – Interesting surveys can make a difference. If you get bored with repetitive or unclear questions, every reward would seem insufficient. Most users say that OneOpinion surveys are engaging and fun.

Plenty of surveys – Well, this is not completely true for everyone. It depends on your demographics, but on average there are a lot of opportunities. If you are not unlucky, you should get one every day.

Customer support – In my opinion OneOpinion has one of the best customer services. The main reason for this is ‘Emily’. Emily is a chatbot and this is not only cute but very helpful. Emily is programmed to walk you through the most common procedures and issues. This provides time for real humans in the support team to deal with possible problems. Some users have actually complained about Emily. But, she exists to take care of only minor and most common glitches. If it’s above her level you should contact the support team. I find this system fantastic.

Shortcomings

Well, I can’t think of any serious negative about this site, except for the high payout threshold that I’ve already explained.

No referral program – Some users would like to have some extra opportunities such as referral program or sweepstakes, or any kind of bonus. However, this site tries to keep it simple.

There are some more complaints, but for each complaint, you can find much more happy users regarding the matter. A disqualifying rate is a good example of this. While some users complain that they can’t qualify, vast majority shows that the average disqualifying rate is well below the industry average.

Conclusion

OneOpinion is legit, reliable and commendable survey site. It is good altogether, but I will point out the customer support, once again. It shows that they care about their members. Long-term relationships require love and respect from both sides. Well, at least happy ones.

While it is impossible to predict precisely how much you can earn with OneOpinion, it is so with every survey site. OneOpinion offers a decent pay rate, interesting surveys, and reliable customer service. In my opinion that is a definition of a good survey site.
