Most of the paid survey sites offer you to earn some easy money for taking surveys. It can be fun and it doesn’t take much time. SavvyConnect offers the same and then some more. On this site, you can earn money doing literally nothing! Or, that’s what they promise, anyway.
It sounds impossible, I know. You must be wondering what’s the catch, or is there some elaborate scheme to rip you off. It is not a scam, but there is a sort of catch. You have to download the SavvyConnect app to your device(s). This software will track your online behavior, and you will earn $5 per month for each device with the app running. You will have the opportunity to take surveys as well.
So, it is not a one-of-a-kind offer that will change your life, but it still sounds good. If you don’t have to do a thing why wouldn’t you accept $15 a month? It is $15 because you can download the app to your desktop, phone, and tablet.
Like with most GPT ( get paid to) and paid survey sites, this one has some good sides and bad sides. I will show you what do they do, how do they do it and are they legit and reliable. Furthermore, I will dig deep to find out what can you get out of it and what are the potential risks. So, let’s get started.
What Is SavvyConnect and Is It Legit
SavvyConnect is actually a tool, an app offered by Survey Savvy. It is a browser add-on that monitors your online surfing habits. While this sounds a little bit creepy and sinister, the program aggregates data for a meta-analysis.
In other words, they don’t care about your personal habits. You are just a statistic, one of many. They want to know the trends, what most people search for on the Internet, what do they like or dislike, and stuff like that. With this knowledge, they can advise companies on how to improve their products or services.
SavvyConnect guarantees that your personal information will not be sold to a third party. Furthermore, the app recognizes “Incognito Mode” or “Private Browsing”, and stops working when these modes are on.
SurveySavvy is an online survey panel owned by Luth Research, a market research company. Luth Research operates since 1977 and SurveySavvy since 1999. So, it is safe to say that there are no legitimacy issues. The real and prominent company runs this business.
How It Works
You have to sign up with SurveySavvy. It is a simple and quick process. Once you’re in, you can download SavvyConnect app to your smartphone, desktop, tablet or all of them. Each device will earn you $5 a month. You can’t install the app on more than one device of a kind.
So, it is easy and simple. When you are browsing the Web, the app will run in the background. You won’t even notice it. Well, that’s the way it should be. However, some users have had problems with the app. It slowed down or blocked some programs or the Internet connection. This happens often if you have old devices or outdated operating system. The app is a new technology and it might be incompatible with your old operating system. There are ways to fix these glitches, but it depends on the specific problem.
Anyway, if you have a newer generation OS and updated programs and installments, it will be fine. Another way is to turn it off occasionally. The app doesn’t have to run all the time. There is a minimum browsing requirement, but they don’t say what it is. If the app doesn’t run long enough on some of your devices, you won’t be disqualified. You won’t get the money for that device, but, you will receive money for your other two devices. Many users turn the app off from time to time and still get their money, so it can work that way.
More Opportunities and How to Get Your Money
Besides the SavvyConnect app, there are more ways to earn some money. You can take surveys and earn between $1 and $3 per most of the surveys. The SavvyConnect app should allow you to get a few more surveys. However, you can take surveys even if you uninstall the app, whatever the reason. $1 to $3 is a very high pay rate for a survey site. There is a downside to it, though. Surveys are few and far between, and it seems like screening out rate is pretty high as well.
Referral program can provide a continuous small income. For each survey that your referrals take you will be rewarded with some incentive. Referrals of your referrals will get you another small reward.
You will have a couple of sweepstakes opportunities, as well. 50 users will win $10 every month. You will receive tickets for this prize draw, for each survey that you were screened out. Other draws are occasional and usually require making a short video as an entry.
As soon as you earn $1 you can require the payout. The only payment method is via check. This is so unusual and I hope they will change it soon. Payments can take up to 12 weeks, but usually, you’ll get your cash in a couple of weeks.
The low threshold is a big pro, but a slow and ancient method of payment is a big downer.
First of all, SavvyConnect is legit and you will get paid for your participation. However, it is hard to say if it is a good opportunity. Put aside privacy issue, glitches and slowing your devices down can make your life miserable. If you uninstall the app, surveys aren’t frequent enough even though they are paid well.
Yet, if your devices run smooth, it is a whole different story. You will earn up to $15 doing nothing and you will probably get more surveys. So, it seems like there is no middle ground here. The experience on the site can be either great or not worth it. Since it is a legitimate site, I would give it a test run for a month or so to see how will it work for you.
