Websites like Springboard America offer you to complete surveys for them and pay you a small sum of money in return.
The point is that you can take a survey or two during your surfing session and benefit from it. While it can’t be a serious income, making any money without an effort is desirable, isn’t it? However, choosing the survey sites can be time consuming and irritating. You have probably heard that some of these sites are scams. So, how to find reliable sites with reasonably high payouts?
You will have to do some reading. It is better to be safe than sorry. This review is meant to help you find out all of the important facts about Springboard America.
Springboard America Reviews – What Is It?
Springboard America is an online survey platform. It is owned by Maru Group, a market research company founded in 2016. Springboard America pays members to take surveys.
This is a way to collect all kinds of consumer data. It allows the company to analyze the market and advise businesses and companies. Of course, these businesses will pay well for insights and helpful analyses.
So, this is a legitimate and actually old industry. The approach is new because it is easier to communicate with thousands or millions of customers online.
Springboard America and its parent company Maru Group are real and legit. It is not a scam, so you don’t have to worry about that. The question is are they a good opportunity to earn a few extra bucks?
How Springboard America Works
Joining Springboard America is easy. It is eligible for USA residents 14 or older. You have to answer a couple of questions and you are ready to go.
You should answer these questions carefully and sincerely. These questionnaires will be repeated every month or two. The answers will define your demographics and chances for surveys accordingly.
Then, you can start taking surveys. You will receive invitations for surveys via email. Also, you can check out the dashboard to see if there are some surveys available.
For each survey you qualify for, you will earn points or sweepstakes entries. For most of the surveys, you will receive between 50 and 500 points.
100 points equal $1. Usually, the last 10 to 20 minutes. You will be notified of how long does it take and how many points you will earn.
I liked the interface. It is pleasant and easy to navigate. The whole process is pretty simple and straightforward. The pay rate is quite high for a survey site. So, it looks good so far, doesn’t it?
But, here comes the first problem: you don’t get enough surveys. Most of the users will receive 1 to 5 invitations per month. While the site pays you well, it doesn’t pay you often. Of course, you might be lucky and belong to demographics in demand. In this case, you will have more opportunities to take surveys.
You need to be active to keep opportunities coming. If you don’t take a single survey in three months, your account will be suspended. And you will lose all points. So, if you are a member of multiple survey sites, make sure that you keep track of your survey frequency.
Personally, I don’t fancy sweepstakes. It is a chance to earn money, but I prefer when I know exactly how much I will earn for certain activity. However, a touch of luck does make it a bit more interesting. It is a slim chance, though.
Three different prize draws are held regularly. Recruit sweepstakes happen once a year and the winner gets $1,000. Every month there is a prize draw for participating in a program. One winner gets $500 and other 5 get $50. Each month you will receive an entry for sweepstakes after you complete profiling questionnaire. 10 winners will win $100 each.
Rewards And How to Get Them
When you accumulate 5,000 points you can cash out or collect another reward. Rewards include Amazon gift e-card, iTunes and Google Play credits, and many more. You can cash out via PayPal or Visa card. However, 5,000 points or $50 is a high threshold. This is actually the most frequent reason for complaint by far.
While the site pays well per survey, the threshold is just unreasonably high. It might take you ages to earn enough to redeem your points. I don’t really know what to think of it. Whatever the reason, once you accumulate enough points you will be paid.
Final Verdict for Springboard America
Like most of the paid survey sites, Springboard America has some upsides and downsides. They are legit and they pay their members. The pay rate is among the best in the industry. On the other hand, few surveys available and high threshold doesn’t really look very appealing.
I would still grade them well, with a little bit of caution. The high pay rate is a very important feature, as long as you can cash out. However, you can’t make living on paid survey sites. It is easy and more or less fun to take surveys. So, everyone would go for it, if it was possible to provide a living wage. Earning some extra money with minimum effort is quite another story.
Bearing in mind aforementioned, I would strongly recommend membership on multiple survey sites. If you choose ones that pay well, you can earn a nice sum. I would add Springboard America into the mix. Actually, you should try to join a couple of sites with good pay rates along with others that have frequent opportunities. That way you won’t wait forever for a new survey. And you will cash out frequently.
So, even though it can take some time to pocket the money, I would give it a try. If you join Springboard America along with sites that offer surveys more frequently, it can be a perfect combination. And if you dislike the experience you can always jump ship.
