Do you like to take surveys? If you do, you don’t have to do it just for fun. There are many websites that will offer you to take surveys and earn some rewards for your effort. Some sites will give you money, others have gift cards and cash prizes. It is an easy way to win some easy money or reward. Of course, the amount of money is never substantial, but if you like surveys it’s a win-win situation. Research companies get consumer data, while you do something for fun and earn a couple of bucks in the process.

But, then comes the tricky part. How do you know which site to join? Some of these paid survey sites are outright cons and scams, while others will pay you fair and square. There is a third kind, sites that are legit, but a complete waste of time. How to know the difference beforehand? Well, you can do the research, or you can check out reviews like this one.

So, let’s see how VIP Voices fares compared to other survey sites.

Who Are They?

VIP Voice is an online research panel. It is not exactly paid survey site as they don’t pay you any money. They have a point system that leads to rewards, but I’ll get back to it a little bit later. VIP Voice is owned by the NPD Group. The NPD Group is a marketing research company established in 1967. Their reputation is impeccable. They collaborate with the top companies in many fields and rank among the top 25 market research companies regularly. They have an A rating from the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

So, obviously, VIP Voice has a strong and respectable company behind them. This should be enough to be pretty much sure that they are legit and not the scam. Still, it doesn’t mean they are worth your time.

How does it work?

Like most of the survey panels, the first step is to create an account. The procedure for this is simple and quick and free of charge. Once you joined in you can start taking the surveys. Things get a bit peculiar here. Most of the paid survey sites offer cash or gift card rewards, or both. VIP Voice does neither of it.

For each survey, you take you to win points. What I didn’t like was a lack of information about the survey and the points. You may be disqualified in the middle of the survey (you will win participation points for it, though) and you don’t know how many points each survey brings. There are five levels for users. You start from scratch and as the number of surveys grows you move up through the levels. Each level allows you to win more points per survey, than the former.

And What Do You Do With The Points You Earn?

You can redeem your points in neither money nor gift cards. Instead, you can use your points to go to the BidLand or SweepLand. For a brief moment, I thought it was a joke! But, no, BidLand and SweepLand are platforms where you can try to make your points useful.

In BidLand you can take part in auctions. You bid with your points in a certain time frame and the highest bid gets the prize. If you win the auction you can actually get a gift card or some other item. Good thing is that you can win something real. Bad thing is that you need the humongous amount of points to bid for anything worth more than $25.

SweepLand allows you to enter the sweepstakes. The rewards vary from solid to fantastic. The more points you enter, the more chance to win. However, once you entered, if you don’t win the prize you can’t reclaim the points.

In either case, you have to save points for ages to have a decent chance to win anything.

What Do The Users Say?

Users reviews are pretty much horrible. Most of the users claim that even though you are offered a chance, you will end up empty-handed. There are just too many of them that have spent years on the site and won absolutely nothing. When I searched for positive reviews VIP Voice, most of them were new users. And most of them liked the surveys and didn’t win anything either.

I found it a little bit puzzling, how hard it was to find anyone who has actually won something. So, I wouldn’t go that far to call them a scam, but it is quite certain that the chances to win anything are extremely slim.

Pros And Cons

Pros

You will take surveys – It can be very difficult to qualify for surveys on many paid sites. Well, you won’t have that problem with VIP Voices. You will probably get a couple of surveys every week.

You won’t get spam – It is common for surveys site to bombard your email with spam, so this is good.

High-value prizes – While the chances to win some of the big prizes are close to zero, it is not impossible.

Cons

No guarantees – There’s no guarantee that you’ll ever get anything.

Same surveys – You might get some surveys with identical or very similar questions over and over again.

They don’t use some of your surveys – If you answer all of the questions automatically with, let’s say ‘yes’, you will get your points and nothing will happen. This one really raises some doubts. If they don’t need your answers, what are they up to? Maybe they’re just sloppy?

Negative users reviews – Too many negatives and too few positives.

Conclusion

This one is simple. While VIP Voice is legit, it is a waste of time with a lottery-like chance to win something. If you really like surveys and sweepstakes maybe you can try it. But, they are not reliable and there are many other online sites that deliver what they promise – such as Inbox Dollars or Swagbucks. If you join them you can’t lose anything but your time, and who knows maybe you can get lucky. However, I would look for something else.
